Anti-Muslim activist Brigitte Gabriel lashed out yesterday at Khizr Khan, the Muslim-American father of a deceased soldier who criticized Donald Trump’s proposed ban on Muslim immigration at the Democratic National Convention, saying that Khan lied when he waved his copy of the Constitution at the DNC because Muslims can’t adhere to both their religion and the U.S. Constitution.
“Listen, he stood up there waving the copy of the Constitution at the DNC,” Gabriel told Sam Malone, who was guest-hosting Mike Gallagher’s nationally syndicated conservative talk radio program. “Did he really believe that the U.S. Constitution is above the Quran? Because as a practicing Muslim, when he claims to be, he would have to admit that the Constitution is a man-made law and therefore the Constitution is inferior to Allah’s given set of laws that are spelled out in the Quran and the Sharia. What the media needs to do is basically question him about that.”
“Waving the Constitution is a misrepresentation when one’s religion teaches that it and any other man-made law, for that matter, are to be removed and superseded by the Quran,” she added.
After reading a verse of the Quran which she said makes it impossible for devout Muslims to adhere to civil laws, she demanded: “So how can he in good conscience stand at the podium and say, and wave the Constitution by the way, and confess that he is a Muslim and basically misrepresenting to the American public what the Quran says and what the Constitution says, and basically the Quran supersedes the Constitution in his eyes. That’s the question that should have been put to him on the Sunday morning shows as he was paraded around.”
When Malone commented on her enthusiasm about the topic, she said it is “because I hate liars, because I cannot stand the misrepresentation of facts.”
“So for a father of a son who died, as a Gold Star parent, to come on national television at the Democratic Party and being used as an example and his words are basically based on false representation of reality, that is not right and that needs to be corrected,” she said.
