Barber: The African American Community Is Sick Of Gay Activists Trying To Ride The 'Civil Rights Gravy Train'

Mat Staver and Matt Barber are continuing the Religious Right's crusade against a proposed anti-discrimination ordinance in San Antonio, Texas on their "Faith and Freedom" radio program, where Barber declared that such an ordinance is not even necessary because gays are hardly, if ever, discriminated against.

Saying that gay activists are "probably the most powerful lobby in the world," Barber claimed that anti-gay discrimination is rare because people "bend over backwards to avoid being accused of homophobia or discrimination" before going on to assert that "the African American community at large, the vast majority are sick and tired of this sexual anarchist lobby attaching their little red wagon to the civil rights gravy train":
