Michele Bachmann is upset that President Obama said in his Wednesday night address that “ISIL is not Islamic,” criticizing him for “being the theologian-in-chief.”
The Minnesota congresswoman told the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins in an interview yesterday said that Obama should just ask Steven Sotloff and ask James Foley — the two American journalists beheaded by ISIS — “if this was about Islam.”
She said the group’s actions are “all about” Islam and are “exactly done in conformance with their belief, not ours, with the jihadist belief and view of Islam. So the president falsely stated that this was not what Islam looks like or the motivation wasn’t Islam, it exactly is, the president was completely wrong.”
