Elizabeth Johnston, who calls herself “The Activist Mommy,” claimed that sex education curricula in public schools effectively “rape the minds of our children.”
Last week on “Washington Watch,” show host and Family Research Council president Tony Perkins interviewed Johnston about her efforts with other activists to organize a “sit-out” at public schools to protest sex ed. Organizers of the “Sex Ed Sit Out,” which is scheduled to take place later this month, are urging parents to keep their children out of school for a day in protest of what they believe is “graphic, gender-bending sex education” that instructs children “how to have anal and oral sex, masturbate one another, and question their gender.”
“This is a sit-out everyone can support and that we should be supporting. If you are not a rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth leftist liberal who wants to pervert the minds of children—everyone should be able to support this sit-out,” Johnston said. “This is parent-led, not Women’s March-led, not George Soros-led, this is parent-led.”
She added, “This is saying ‘We are the taxpayers. We are the parents. You don’t own our children and you’re not allowed to rape the minds of our children with this pornographic material.’ We’ve got to do it. We’ve got to rise up and take our kids back.”
