"This Senate has accomplished a lot of great work for the American people, and one of the greatest accomplishments is the confirmation of outstanding federal judges. We applaud Leader Schumer and Judiciary Committee Chair Durbin for their work in confirming 97 lifetime federal judges in President Biden’s first two years in office. The president deserves enormous credit for the caliber of his nominees, who are bringing diversity, top-notch legal credentials and a deep commitment to civil rights to the bench. The speed of confirmations is also significant: it’s the second fastest in a quarter century. This work to fill our federal bench with great judges will make a huge difference in the protection of our rights and freedoms, and we look forward to the Senate continuing to make it a top priority in January.”
