Last week, Michael Savage voiced his outrage over the Iranian nuclear agreement, which he connected to the recent killing of military service members in Chattanooga. Since the deal with Iran was signed on July 14 and the shooting occurred on July 16, Savage speculated during “a conspiracy moment” that the attack may have been designed to suppress media coverage of the alleged flaws with the deal.
“A day after the world comes to understand Obama sold the West down the river with his sellout to Iran, giving them the right to develop a nuclear weapon, a day later, a Kuwaiti, an American citizen, opens fire on a Marine base,” Savage said.
He then suggested that the shooter may have been a government pawn who was unleashed to attack that day: “So where’s the conspiracy? I don’t know. I don’t know, it’s a coincidence, isn’t it? Because you forgot Iran already, it’s off the pages. So many people think they actually have a lot of these nuts under control, they’re under surveillance, they’re watching them, and they kind of give them a little trigger-job, along the lines of ‘Manchurian Candidate,’ something loose like that.”
After all, Savage explained, “if it’s the opposite of what Obama said, then ‘hooey’ must be the truth.”
Later in the broadcast, Savage attacked ESPN for giving Caitlyn Jenner its Arthur Ashe Courage Award, wondering when the country will rise up against such cultural degradation: “This creature is now made into a hero, what does that do to our children’s minds? How far can we go in a nation? How low can we sink as a society? How much lower can we go as a society, how much lower? The answer is when you have a fish that is rotting from the head down, there is no bottom to how low this country can go and it will get much, much lower. I don’t know what it’s going to take but something is going to provoke civil unrest as sure as I’m sitting here.”
